He is very tolerant of naughty puppies in the pack. However, he also knows how to draw boundaries without lapsing into aggressiveness. He is friendly to people and other dogs and greets them wagging his tail. The hunting instinct is only moderately developed in him, so that he can still be retrieved in any situation.
